Estes Park was full of yummy candy stores, cookie shops, and taffy galore. And would you believe that the only thing I came away with was an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie and some cinnamon discs. What an odd combination…

What a great name for a candy store. Nick and I had a fun date night last week. We went to old town Arvada and went to the cutest little candy store I’ve seen. One of our new favorite things to do is to get pedicures. I’ve converted Nick to them. I think he enjoys them more than me.

2 CommentsWhile in Vegas we were able to visit the Coke museum. All of the vintage Coke items were amazing. We were talking about how Coke is such a part of American culture. I’m sure there aren’t very many people who have never at least tried a Coke or Diet Coke.
I confess, I am a total Diet Coke addict. A couple years ago I went a whole year without drinking any, just to see if I could do it, and I did. But, don’t worry, on the year anniversary I went on a Diet Coke bender. That burn going down my throat never felt so good. I know it’s probably not the best thing for me, but I’m not quite ready to completely give it up again. I don’t drink coffee, alcohol, or tea, so Diet Coke is my one indulgence.
I have always had a sweet tooth, especially for candy. People who know me well know that I will always have some sort of little goodie in my purse, car, cupboard, or desk. I’m not one to down a whole box or carton of something in one sitting, I’m more of a take a little at a time girl. I can be eating a sucker and mid way through I’ve had enough, so I’ll put it back in the wrapper to save for later.
I saw Dylan Lauren owner of Dylan’s Candy Bar in New York, on Oprah. She was saying that candy for her is more than just candy, it’s color’s, it’s design, it’s fashion. I couldn’t agree more.
Right now I’m on a Bit-O-Honey kick. Just like Nick and I go through phases, I go through candy phases. I like to try all different kinds and if I see something new, I’ve always gotta try it. I was loving the candy store at the New York New York hotel in Vegas and thought I’d share a few pics I took
